Do you qualify?
You must:
- Be 18 years or older (required by the Department of Transportation)
- Hold a current valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside
- Have an employer-acceptable motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination and drug screen for commercial drivers
- Be a resident of Washington, Idaho or Oregon
Application Process
- Initial interview, in person or by phone, to discuss career choices and employment qualifications, such as motor vehicle report, criminal background, work history and stability, and health issues.
- Tuition payment options discussed.
- DTS enrollment application filled out.
- Motor Vehicle Report obtained and reviewed
- Employer applications submitted
- Conditional pre-hire letters received from employers
- D.O.T. Physical and drug screen taken
- School Acceptance
